3:50pm: twenty f i r s t birth d a y
dude dude dude dude dude.....I'm 21!
weird.
it's been good so far.
okay, scratch that...fantastic so far!
the actual day of my birth I got to live out my lifelong dream of getting drunk and singing at a karaoke bar and it was everything I ever hoped it be (and then some).
and for a gift?
oh, just a car.

I feel so so so grateful.
after so many yrs with the beat up cars that were constantly breaking down that I had worked so hard to get and maintain, my parents thought it was time I had something a bit more reliable. I don't want people to think I'm some spoiled little rich girl, I mean I am lucky to have such generous parents, but I do really really appreciate what I have and I've worked really hard for everything I've had.
anyways...still can't believe that happened.
no more scary I-5 tire changes when I come back from visiting my bf in Corvallis!

so if someone is texting you about a sex dream they had with you in it...and then they send one saying they "uh, didn't have a free hand for a few mins..." and then 20 mins later tell you how they started dating your friend the night you broke up...and that they still are dating that person but what they really want is to date you....


you would say bad news bears to that situation, right? there's like...no way that could turn out to be a good situation and not a suckfest?

she is the hardest thing to take a picture with, no flash or she's a spike ball, too close to my face and she scratches me on accident, but she is the most photogenic animal at least(besides Corky)

last night was awesome, i love all my old friends and i love making new friends. i hope everyone had a great time last night and that there aren't too many terrible hangovers today!

3:05pm: update due to LJ nudging
well, i'm fairly happy lately which is why i've seen no need to really post to LJ. usually if i am posting it's because i have something to whine about or something really really BIG has happened.

i love my job. honest to god, whenever i read any kind of dumb internet quiz thing that asks what your dream job would be i can't think of anything else right now. i get paid well to be a nanny and practice japanese.
i'm actually interested in school because i know what i want to study and because getting my associates at PCC i'm going to save a lot of money and also time, since i'll be taking only the much higher level classes when i transfer.
i'm pretty happy with my friends right now, being out of high school means i don't have to see certain people if i don't want to. huge bonus. and although a great deal of my close friends have moved away, i'm still in fairly good contact with them via the internet. Also Jennifer and Alyssa have stuck around which is fun. Things are a lot more relaxed now that there's not all this pressure to get along with all the people in school that you can't escape from.
i do miss derek a lot. but i'm very happy with how we treat each other. i was devastated, of course, at first but i realize that him leaving has nothing to do with us and if either one of us could do anything about it, we absolutely would. i'm starting to accept it and adjust to it and all of that.

so that's what's been going on in my life lately.
